CareerCore Program

Overview

The FAS CareerCore Program is a unique group-based program developed by FAS Human Resources for junior level employees looking to tap into their full potential. Going beyond just skill-building, the goal of this this program is to provide participants the tools to navigate career paths, build networks, develop self-leadership skills and learn what it means to bring your 100% self to work everyday.

Participation

CareerCore seeks strong-performing FAS staff members, especially those with diverse backgrounds who are interested in career guidance, self-development and overall professional growth. Application criteria includes:

  • Has demonstrated strong performance in their role and indicates a desire for continued professional development
  • Is able to commit to CareerCore and attend all sessions
  • Job grades 54-56, non-exempt/hourly employees
  • Has been at Harvard for at least one year
  • Manager support is required for participation in CareerCore

Applications are currently closed for the FY20 program, which will run from July through December, 2019. Participants are required to attend all of the following key program dates:

Session One: Kickoff and Introduction to CareerCore
Tuesday, July 30
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Session Two: Understanding Drive, Commitment and Fulfillment
Wednesday, August 28
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Session Three: The 100% Self at the Workplace
Tuesday, September 24
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Session Four: Understanding Where You Are Today and Where You Want to be Tomorrow
Thursday, October 24
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Session Five: Panel Discussion, Networking and Reflection
Tuesday, December 10
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

All sessions will be held in 1414 Massachusetts Ave, room 561.
